Children found benefitting from English-speaking foreign domestic helpers

A study has shown that the presence of English-speaking foreign domestic helpers at home may help children build better English vocabulary skills. Professor Catherine McBride from the Department of Psychology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong says that was true across four to five years – the period when the study was conducted. But she tells Ben Tse that they also found there were trade-offs.
